Donations to any ILAS funds will be highly appreciated!

Hans Schneider Prize Fund
The Hans Schneider Prize is awarded every three
years for research, contributions, and achievements at the highest level
of linear algebra. The Hans Scheider Prize Fund is used to support the
expenses of Prize winners to attend an appropriate ILAS conference to
receive the Prize and deliver the Hans Schneider Prize Lecture.
Frank Uhlig Education Fund
This fund supports ILAS's efforts to enhance
linear algebra education. These initiatives are carried out primarily by
the ILAS Education Committee.
Olga Taussky Todd & John Todd Fund
The Taussky-Todd Lecture is given every three or four
years at an ILAS conference by a person who, at an early stage
in his or her career, already has made significant contributions to linear
algebra and matrix theory. The Taussky-Todd fund is used to support the
expenses of Taussky-Todd Lecturers.
Hans Schneider ILAS Lecture Fund
The Hans Schneider ILAS Lecture Fund supports one speaker per year to give a lecture on linear algebra (and possibly its applications to or connections with a related discipline) at a non-ILAS meeting. The Hans Schneider ILAS Lecture is one of ILAS's signature programmes, and consequently, the Lecture will be given by a researcher with strong expository skills whose work represents linear algebra at its highest level. The Hans Schneider ILAS Lecture enhances ILAS's existing programme of support for ILAS lectures at non-ILAS meetings. Each year, the ILAS Board of Directors will evaluate proposals for ILAS Lectures at non-ILAS meetings. The top ranked proposal will be identified as the Hans Schneider ILAS Lecture, and the lecturer so designated will be funded at an increased level.
Israel Gohberg ILAS-IWOTA Lecture
The Israel Gohberg ILAS-IWOTA Lecture honors the legacy of Israel Gohberg, whose research crossed borders between operator theory, linear algebra, and related fields. This lecture is in collaboration with the International Workshop on Operator Theory and its Applications (IWOTA), an institution that was founded by Gohberg. This series of lectures will be delivered at IWOTA and ILAS Conferences, in different years, in the approximate ratio two-thirds at IWOTA and one-third at ILAS.

Conference Fund
The Conference Fund serves as a safety net for ILAS
conference organizers. In the event that there is a shortfall in the
overall budget for an ILAS conference, ILAS can use money from the
conference fund to help cover that shortfall. The Conference Fund can also
be used to provide seed money for ILAS conference organizers, which they
can then use to leverage support for the conference from other
organizations.
General Funds
The Funds described above are dedicated to support specific activities. All financial support for ILAS's other programs and operations comes from the General Fund.
